- In Outlook Express, click on Tools menu.
- Click on the Accounts menu item.

Click on the Servers tab.
We are going to try 5 different variations of setting the Properties in the
Servers . We will try 1 at a time, so please be patience as we might
have to try all 5 variations before your Outlook Express works with your
specific email account.
Variation 1
- In the Account Name text box, remove the part of your email
address after the "@".
In this example, "JoeCool@PowersEnterprise.com" is changed to
"JoeCool".
- Click OK .
- After you click OK, click on the "Send/Receive" button as you did before. If it does
not work, we have 4 more variations to try...

Variation 2
- In the Incoming mail , change the word "mail" to
"popmail".
- In the Outgoing mail , change the word "mail" to
"smtp"
- In the Account Name text box, type in your email address.
- Click OK .
- After you click OK, click on the " Send/Receive" button as you did before. If it does
not work, we have 3 more variations to try...

Variation 3
- In the Incoming mail , change the word "mail" to
"popmail".
- In the Outgoing mail , change the word "mail" to
"smtp"
